My personal favorites: Maths for Economists - Mathematical methods and Models for Economists, by Angel de la Fuente. Written in a pedagogical style, crammed full of examples and solutions to the problems. Plus almost everything in there is relevan. There is a need for a book that counters the natural tendency of people to find in game theory solutions to problems that in my opinion game theory doesn’t say anything about. I’ve tried to do something small in this direction, in a book – Economic Fables.

A great textbook on Economic Theory, which is missed by this generation. This book needed to be updated by new authors without changing the style and genre that is truly unique to A.W. Stonier and D.C. Hauge.5/5(4).
